2008 Suzuki US Freeskiing Open Recap

The 2008 Suzuki US Freeskiing Open is over. The absence of some big names and the varying weather conditions made way for some new names to make it on to the podium. The 08 open saw it’s share of bad weather and other distractions, the slopestyle finals happened as a storm was passing through and made things difficult, the same thing goes for the big air and the superpipe finals landed on Super Bowl Sunday. The big air was also lacking some kind of a screen to show onlookers at the base what the jump looks like and to show the approach of the skiers, instead the announcers tried to count down to when they would come over the knuckle and down the landing.
