Ruby Hill Rail Yard Returns

Ruby Hill Rail Yard

The Ruby Hill Rail Yard is back for their second season. The Ruby Hill Rail Yard is a free urban ski and ride terrain park located just outside of Downtown Denver, Colorado in Ruby Hill Park that is made possible by Winter Park Resort, the City of Denver, and Denver Parks and Recreation Department. The park features six rails boxes of varying configurations and skill levels.

New this season every Monday from January 28 through February 18, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Snowsports Outreach Society and Thriftystick Board Shop will host “Jibbing for the Kids.” This program will provide lessons and snowboarding equipment to local teens. Someone needs to step up and provide ski equipment.

Ruby Hill Rail Yard is located between West Florida and Jewell Avenues and between South Platte River Drive and Quivas Street. Weather permitting, Ruby Hill Rail Yard will remain open through the end of February 2008.

  1. check out a new video world-map displaying urban jibbing sites and competitions. The Ruby Hill Railyard is also listed… zoom into the Denver area and look for the yellow icon.
