Vail resorts and Intrawest Colorado announced their season pass prices for next season along with the announcement of some new passes.
Here is some background info for those of you have not been paying attention: Intrawest Resorts was bought by Fortress Investment Group for $2.6 Billion in October 2006, Intrawest is now a wholly owned subsidiary of this corporation. Intrawest then purchased Steamboat from the American Skiing Company for $265 million. What does all of this mean for us skiers… more resorts on one pass. Intrawest introduced the new Rocky Mountain Super Pass PLUS and the Rocky Mountain Ultimate Pass. The Rocky Mountain Super Pass PLUS offers unlimited skiing at Copper, Winter Park, and Mary Jane with six days at Steamboat and freeskiing I mean free skiing after 12:00 on Fridays at Steamboat, all for only $479. The Ultimate pass is unlimited at Copper,WP,MJ and steamboat for $999. The old Rocky Mountain Super Pass is still available, and the price now is $379.
Vail Resorts has a new pass too, like the Colorado Pass PLUS offers unlimited skiing at Keystone, Breck and A-Basin along with 4 unrestricted and 6 restricted days at Vail and Beaver Creek, the price is $519. The Colorado Pass is still available for $419 thats $40 more than last year and the Buddy Pass is now $379 up $30 from last year.
There are also discounted passes for those of you 18 and under and we’ll see what college student discounts pop up.
