Due to the horrible weather at Breckenridge on Friday all on mountain events for The Ski Tour were postponed. The halfpipe finals have been rescheduled for Sunday afternoon, so no more nighttime pipe action. Since there was no skiing to watch Friday and Saturday, all there was to do was check out the concerts. Friday night started out with The Wailers jamming in the 14,000 sq/ft Base Camp Music Experience (BCME) tent. Next we moved on to the Swollen Members show hidden in the maze of hotels that makes up Breck’s village. After I found the show by the end I made my way up on stage with a bunch of other fans while the Swollen Members rocked the house. There was a great vibe at all of the concerts and most of the athletes were out and about presumably since they have nothing to do until Sunday. I’m really excited to finally see the competition tomorrow.
