I just got back from the night time pipe practice session for the Honda Ski Tour at the freeway terrain park at Breckenridge, CO. The usual suspects were throwing down as the sun set, snow started to fall and made it difficult to spot landings in the pipe. Skiers like Tanner Hall, Pete Olenick and Colby James West were making their laps in the pipe, and dialing in their runs. Simon Dumont stood out as the skier who was pushing himself the hardest as he was making more laps than anyone else with few breaks. I didn’t see any switch 10’s, whiskey flips or 12’s, but I’m sure that will come out in the competition tomorrow night.
