The US Open Slopestyle finals just finished, and let me tell you it was a quite a show, the skies were clear and the skiers were going off. I got to the hill just as the semifinals started around 1:30 this afternoon, so that means I missed the women’s slopestyle finals, sorry. The men’s finals ended around 5:00, the light was fading fast and the skiers were having a tough time landing in the shade. This was al followed by the awards ceremony which started out with a somber moment of slience for 17 year old Asher Crank who passed away last week in a tragic accident while practicing for the US Open, next the women were given their awards followed by the men then Jon Olsson was attacked by the media (with cameras of course). The course was a straightforward design with 4 kickers followed by 2 rail sections with a couple of choices each and finally a up flat down box, if that is confusing just check out the photos I tried to get a couple of shots of each obstacle.
